Davao is spoiled for choice when it comes to entertainment. It is the starting point for climbing Mount Apo, the Philippines’ highest peak, and is often referred to as a “sea to summit” destination. The nearby island of Samal is the city’s playground for beaches and is only a short ferry ride away. The city itself has many attractions, and new hotels such as the Dusit Thani and Radisson have recently opened. Indeed, the city’s slogan, “Life is here,” is not an empty boast.
